The Nanotec #308 "Wonderful" Power Cable replaces the #306 model. The #308 looks exactly the same as the #306, but it uses the new version of Japanese Continuous Crystal Copper, referred to as Lined Array Copper (the jacket color is deep violet). If you know audiophile cables you've heard of Ohno PCOCC copper, this is the next generation copper, which yields a smoother and more focused/detailed sound than the older version.
The #308 uses 105 strands of copper in each of the three conductors, so it's an excellent choice for extreme high-current applications, even on a 20A circuit. This is a prime example of Jaguar's mission to offer our clients the most cutting-edge technology and this is one of the first products on the market to use it.
Note: Jaguar currently offers $50 Assembly on all Nanotec power and speaker cables. Just choose the connectors and choose the "Assembled" option during checkout.
We replaced the power cables throughout the Jaguar Reference System with the Nanotec #308, after finding it performed equal or better than the much more expensive cables we had been using.
Connect to a Dedicated Circuit:audiophiles will often have an electrician install a dedicated circuit, to separate their system's circuit from appliances, lights, switches and other outlets, but this is not possible in many situations and can be a big job. Since this Nanotec cable comes on a spool it can be ordered in a length as long as 30M, which means you can run a long cable to an already-existing circuit (such as some appliance outlets) or just have a new circuit and outlet installed right below the breaker panel and run the cable to that outlet.
Here's what 6Moons had to say about the #306 in their review:
"Nanotec Systems soaks these conductors in a colloidal liquid of 1.5 x the density of their first liquid as used on earlier cables. For the Power Strada #306 the ratio is 95% gold to 5% silver. These particles are truly nano in size to vary from 3.5 to 8 millionths of a millimeter."
"Nanotec has apparently done it again. They've moved up another rung on the quality ladder whilst sticking with their proven ideology of providing affordable quality through sheer ingenuity."
Comparing to Crystal Cable - "In the Crystal Cable the shininess of silver put the music in a spotlight. The Nanotec more bathed the music in a floodlight."

Note: Gold connectors have a more body and warmth and the Rhodium are more neutral and smooth; copper is the best choice on low budget. Assembling power cables is a common DIY project for audiophiles, but given the safety issues we recommend you have a trained electronics technician examine your work before using the cable. You have the option of having Jaguar assemble the cable for you. The black flex jacket covering shown in the photos is not included.
Important: The #308 is a heavy-gauge, high current cable and requires extensive break-in. The cable requires hundreds of hours of break-in and how many depends on many factors, such as the amount of current. The only way to tell when it's fully broken in is the sound; it will lack harmonic richness and openness early on and probably won't sound very good. You can connect it to something that draws a lot of current for many hours per day to speed up the process, but if it's not sounding amazing, just keep racking up the hours until it does.
Worldwide shipping is just $10.

I agree with all of the positive things that have been written about this power cord. It is amazing.
After about 120 hours of burn-in, I installed the Nanotec on my preamplifier as a replacement for a more expensive highly-regarded power cord.
This resulted in a considerable improvement in clarity. In addition, the Nanotec is more detailed and recordings have a more open sound with greater width and depth and impact. Acoustic instruments (such as a Steinway grand piano) sound more lifelike.
Everything sounds much better after adding the Nanotec #308.
I am totally satisfied with this purchase.
